Prawns with Salted Egg sauce
For my first post, I want to share with you Prawns with Salted Egg sauce that I cooked for my family 2 weeks ago.
One of my favorite Sunday cooking show is Idol sa Kusina. On one of their episodes they guested Marian Rivera and she cooked Prawns with Salted Egg sauce. She learned this dish from one of the restuarants they went to. She loved the dish and was curious to know its cooking procedure, the staff were kind enough to tell her how it's being done (perks of being a celebrity). She then shared the recipe in Idol Sa Kusina.
In case you feel like cooking this dish and impress your family, here's how:
Ingredients:
3/4 kilo medium sized prawns
flour
salt & pepper
cooking oil
1/8 cup of butter
onion
chili powder
4 salted egg yolks (mashed)
Procedure:
Fry the prawns:
Put a little oil in a nonstick pan
Combine flour, salt & pepper
Cover prawns with flour mixture then fry (do not overcook)
Set aside
For the sauce:
In the same pan, add butter
Add onion & chili powder
Then add salted egg yolk
Coat the prawns with the sauce
Then serve
